This is an original proceeding in prohibition filed by State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company (“State Farm”). State Farm is a defendant in an action filed by William and Sarah Bassett (collectively “Bas-sett”) in the Circuit Court of Wetzel County. Bassett, insured by State Farm, alleged that State Farm engaged in unfair trade practices with regard to Bassett’s claim of uninsured motorist coverage following a motor vehicle accident.
