Appeal from an order of the Family Court of Broome County (Pines, J.), entered March 4, 2004, which, inter alia, granted petitioner’s application, in a proceeding pursuant to Family Ct Act article 6, to modify a prior order of custody.

The parties are the biological parents of two children, born in 1998 and 2000. In March 2003, respondent relocated to Illinois with the children, prompting petitioner to commence a proceeding seeking, among other things, to compel respondent to return to New York with the children.
