Appellants, Brooks and Dodd, filed, in the circuit court of Washington County, a petition for a writ of mandamus, which contained the following allegations: Petitioners are residents and qualified electors of Washington County, and were candidates, in the general election held in said county on November 8, 1932, for the offices of circuit clerk and sheriff of Washington County, respectively.
