Commonwealth v. Clancy
Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court
1Opinion of the CourtNolan, J.
On May 29, 1986, the defendant was convicted of larceny of property valued over $100 and commercial brib cry. The defendant was sentenced to two and one-half years in a house of correction, which was suspended for two years, with probation. In addition, he was required to serve 200 hours of alternative punishment and fined a total of $4,275.
The issue on appeal is whether the trial judge erred in refusing to allow defense counsel to review the complete psychiatric hospital records of the Commonwealth’s principal witness. For the reasons discussed below, we affirm the defendant’s convictions.
