The question presented is as to the validity of service of process on a foreign corporation.
There is little dispute as to the facts. The defendant is a foreign corporation having its office and principal place of business in the city of Monroe, Mich. The plaintiff is a *222domestic corporation with its principal office in the city of Lockport.
The defendant had an agent, one Hutchinson, who had a desk in a large room on the fifth floor of the Grand Central Palace, New York city. There it employed a stenographer who looked after the correspondence of Hutchinson, and it was there he…
