Defendant’s first and second assignments of error relate to the court’s failure to make findings of fact and conclusions of law at the time of the voir dire hearing regarding defendant’s confession, when the judge denied defendant’s motion to suppress the *318confession evidence. The voir dire hearing was held on 27 April 1982, the day before defendant’s trial, but the judge’s written findings of fact were not filed until 10 August 1982.
