On appeal, defendant presents four assignments of error: (1) The trial court erred in denying defendant’s motions to suppress the out-of-court and in-court identifications of the defendant by Le Carpentier, Carter and Bowen, (2) the trial court erred in denying defendant’s motion to suppress the in-court identification of the defendant by the witness Horton, (3) the sentence of life imprisonment without benefit of parole constitutes a denial of defendant’s rights to equal protection of the law, (4) and constitutes cruel and unusual punishment.
