The appellants, 9 Alabama municipalities (hereinafter referred to as “the municipal plaintiffs”) and the Birmingham-Jefferson Civic Center Authority (hereinafter collectively referred to with the municipal plaintiffs as “the municipalities”), appeal from a summary judgment entered in favor of the appellees, 16 online travel service companies and related entities (hereinafter collectively referred to as “the OTCs”).
