This is an indictment charging that in violation of G. L. 1956 (1969 Reenactment) §11-33-1, the- defendant, James Driscoll, wilfully made false representations under -oath to a grand jury which was investigating alleged irregularities involving the East Providence Zoning Board of Review. The case was tried to a Superior Court justice sitting with a jury which returned a guilty verdict against the defendant.
