This action was brought in the Court of Common Pleas for Greenville County to recover damages for injuries received by plaintiff while engaged in painting a pole, the property of Duke Power Company, a corporation, which is extensively engaged in the business of generating, transmitting, selling and furnishing electricity for lighting, heating, and for domestic and industrial purposes. In the accomplishment of these purposes, or some of them, it has erected and maintains in the City of Greenville numerous poles and transmission lines.…
