OPINION
HOPKINS, Justice.
Appellant, Truman Palmer, sued appel-lee, Miller Brewing Company, for retaliatory discharge and breach of good faith and fair dealing. The trial court granted a partial summary judgment and a take-nothing judgment on Miller’s behalf. Palmer appeals both of these rulings.
We affirm.
Palmer was discharged on September 9, 1989, after working for Miller for seventeen years. Previously, Miller had placed Palmer under its “Final Notice Procedure” because of his high absence rate. Under this procedure, his absence rate, other than vacations, holidays, and hospitalized absences,…
