In this diversity action before the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana, Pittman Construction Company, Inc. (Pittman) sought to recover from Washington Aluminum Co., Inc. (Washington) and its surety, Hartford Accident and Indemnity Co., damages for default of contract and attorney’s fees. The district court found for Pittman and awarded damages in the amount of $10,470.00 together with attorney’s fees of $2,617.00 plus costs, and Washington appeals.
