This is an original proceeding in which the petitioners pray for the issuance of a writ of prohibition to the superior court and the judge thereof commanding and directing them to desist and refrain from further proceeding in an action in which petitioners are made defendants. In response to our alternative writ the respondents have filed an answer and demurrer to the petition. The answer raises no issue except as to the adequacy of petitioners’ remedy by appeal—a question of minor importance. The question of jurisdiction arises upon the demurrer.
