These cases involve consolidated appeals by defendants-appellants, Lead Belt Steel Erection Company (Lead Belt) and Fidelity & Deposit Company of Maryland (F & D), from a judgment in favor of the plaintiff-respondent, North County School District R-l, entered upon a jury verdict by the circuit court of St. Francois County. The judgment in favor of North County was for damages in the sum of $8,492.41, allegedly' sustained because of the faulty construction and installation of a metal roof on one of the School District’s buildings.
