STEPHAN, Presiding Judge.

On October 1, 1973, plaintiff Delmar Yamnitz, d/b/a Yamnitz Construction Company, and defendant Polytech, Inc., 1 entered into a written contract whereby plaintiff was to renovate defendant’s fire-damaged plastics factory in Owensville, Missouri. The contract price was $87,500. Work had actually begun on September 27, 1973 and was completed by January 19,1974. In addition to the construction required by the terms of the contract, plaintiff provided a number of “extras” at the direction of defendant’s president, Terrence D. McGowan.
