Appeal by the People from an order of the Supreme Court, Kings County (Quinones, J.), dated August 8, 1988, which granted the defendant’s motion *430to dismiss the indictment on the ground that he was denied his right to a speedy trial.
Ordered that the order is reversed, on the law, the defendant’s motion is denied, the indictment is reinstated, and the matter remitted to the Supreme Court, Kings County, for further proceedings.
