It appears from the record in this case, that Mrs. Camelia J. Williams, on the 11th day of March, 1873, sold to Newman & Sissons forty acres of land lying several miles south of the city of Chicago, for the sum of $12,000, and after deducting the advanced payment, took their promissory notes, payable in installments. To secure the deferred payments they executed to Thomas Dent a trust deed on the property, containing the usual powers conferred by such instruments.
