This appeal is the last step in long-continued proceedings instituted by the respondent’s intestate to secure damages for a change in the grade of the street in front of his premises which was completed in 1893. It is unnecessary for the purposes of the appeal to review or even to enumerate all of the different steps which have been taken for the enforcement of such claim.
