Gateway Community Service Board filed a declaratory judgment action against Frank Bonati, its former executive director, contending that Bonati's contract violated public policy and that Bonati was not entitled to payment for various other reasons; Bonati counterclaimed for breach of contract, unjust *745enrichment and attorney fees. Following a bench trial, the trial court ruled in favor of Bonati and awarded him damages and attorney fees. Gateway appeals.1 For the reasons that follow, we affirm.
