After being injured while on duty as a police officer for the City of Harvey, plaintiff Ronald Danko’s request for a disability retirement pension was denied by the City of Harvey police pension board (the Board) for the reason that there existed an established “light duty” position he could physically perform. On judicial review of the Board’s decision (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1989, ch. 110, par. 3 — 102), the circuit court reversed on the grounds that the Board was prejudiced and that the “light duty” job offered to Danko was a “hoax”…
