On Saturday night, March 23, 1935, Thomas Thorpe, a young man 20' years old, while driving a car owned by his father, John Thorpe, had a collision with another car at a street intersection in Traverse City, Michigan. Plaintiff at the time of the accident was riding’ in the car driven by defendant, as his guest. As a result of the collision, she was seriously injured, suffering a possible fracture at the base of the skull and numerous cuts and lacerations.
