POSNER, Circuit Judge.
Three deputy sheriffs (policemen) of Crawford County, Wisconsin brought suit against the County charging that its mandatory retirement age of 55 for policemen violated the Age Discrimination in Employment Act of 1967, as amended, 29 U.S.C. §§ 621 et seq. 558 F.Supp. 1175 (W.D. Wis.1983).
