OPINION OF THE COURT
SCIRICA, Circuit Judge.
Ronald Jones appeals from the denial of his petition for a writ of habeas corpus pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 2254. The District Court denied the petition on several grounds, and we granted a certificate of appealability to consider whether the petition was properly denied as time-barred under AEDPA’s one-year statute of limitations. We agree with the District Court that the petition was time-barred, and accordingly, we will affirm.
