This was an action of ejectment, to recover possession of a lot in the town .of Port Gibson, described lot 6, in square 9; On the trial the lessors of the plaintiff offered in evidence the deposition of Elizabeth Coursey, who testified that she was the widow of Elijah Bland, deceased, to whom she was duly.married in 1809 ; that Elijah Bland died in 1820, in Port Gibson.

The wife of the lessor of the plaintiff claimed title to the premises as the heir at law of Elijah Bland.
