Appellees Brown and Howie, residents of Fort Worth, Texas, each sued the appellant, a resident of Chicago, Ill., in the State District Court of Tarrant County, Texas, for damages as the result of an automobile accident which occurred in March, 1947, upon the property of the Consolidated Vultee Aircraft Corporation, in Fort Worth, and in which an automobile owned and driven by Brown, with whom Howie was riding, 1 collided with an automobile owned and driven by the appellant.
