The jury trial in this consolidated ease commenced on October 16, 1995 and lasted for almost three weeks. After deliberating for some five and one-half hours over a period of two days, the jury returned its verdict on November 2, 1995. The jury determined $8,410,000 to be the amount of attorneys’ fees and expenses which were reasonably and necessarily incurred by Lafarge Corporation and/or Lafarge Canada, Inc.
