The insolvency receiver of the defendant corporation filed a petition challenging the validity of a chattel mortgage of the defendant company, dated July 14th, 1928, given to John J. Carberry, William J. Bassett and Albert B. Williams to secure them as accommodation endorsers on company notes and renewals thereof to an amount not exceeding $35,000.
