Hubert Cheek, Jr. and Thomas H. Cheek executed a series of five promissory notes during the period from September 5, 1972 to April 1,1975 payable to appellee, Savannah Valley Production Credit Association (PCA). Each note was secured by personal property evidenced by security agreements and bills of sale. On March 22,1976 the Cheeks executed a promissory note to PCA in the amount of $316,426; this note was secured by a second mortgage on real property, the first mortgage being held by the Federal Land Bank of Columbia (FLB).
