OPINION
HANSON, Justice.
Appellant Quanartis DaLee Turnage was convicted of two counts of first-degree murder (intentional murder during a kidnapping and premeditated murder) and one count of intentional second-degree murder in connection with the death of Wa Vang on March 2, 2004. The district court sentenced Turnage to life in prison without the possibility of parole on the murder during kidnapping conviction.
