Appellant Jermaine Ferguson was convicted in Hennepin County District Court of first-degree murder, in violation of Minn.Stat. §§ 609.185(a)(1), 609.05 (2006), and attempted first-degree murder, in violation of Minn.Stat. §§ 609.185(a)(1), 609.17, subd. 1, 609.05 (2006), in the December 7, 2004, shooting death of Joseph Papasodora and injuries to Gordon Hill and Ernest Houle.
