On March 1, 1919, Southern States Life Insurance Company issued a policy of insurance on the life of T. Coke Smith in the sum of $5,000.00, designating his estate as the beneficiary. It was provided that if the insured before attaining the age of sixty years, and before default in the payment of any premium, became totally and permanently disabled, all further premiums would be waived and the policy continued in full force and effect, and in addition the company would pay him $500.00 each year…
