HAMITER, Justice.

Outdoor Electric Advertising, Inc., a Texas corporation, instituted this suit on June 26, 1942, to recover the sum of $2828, alleging that such amount represented the balance due by defendant to it under several written contracts for the erection and maintenance of certain signs along the highways of Louisiana advertising defendant’s business. Thereafter it filed a supplemental and amended petition amplifying some of the allegations originally made.
