Appellant, a sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps, was convicted by a general court-martial composed of officers and enlisted members, contrary to his pleas, of child endangerment by culpable negligence in violation of Article 134, Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ), 10 U.S.C. § 934 (2012). The members sentenced Appellant to confinement for sixty days, a dishonorable discharge, and reduction to the lowest enlisted grade.
