This appeal is from a judgment against the registered owner of land in Philadelphia for taxes assessed dm* ing the period of snch registration and thereafter liened, which the plaintiff had to pay to perfect title obtained at the sheriff’s foreclosure sale on a mortgage held by it during the period. The case was tried by a judge without a jury pursuant to the Act of April 22, 1874, P. L. 109, 12 PS section 688 et seq., as amended.
