¶ 1. Paula Denham and Pamela Caldwell filed a complaint against Adam Holmes in the Lafayette County Circuit Court. Den-ham and Caldwell alleged that Holmes had negligently operated his motor vehicle, resulting in an accident in which they were injured. A Lafayette County jury returned a verdict in favor of Holmes, and the circuit court entered a judgment consistent with the jury verdict.
