Appellee brought this suit in the Garland Chancery Court against appellants, seeking recovery of $273.40, the purchase price of a certain delivery of turkeys effected on November 23, 1931.

Appellants answered the complaint, and admitted the purchase and delivery of the shipment and the aggregate purchase price, but affirmatively alleged payment as follows:
