On the nineteenth of September, 1883, the county commissioners court of Callahan county entered upon its minutes the following order: “ Ordered by the court that thirty-one thousand dollars of Callahan county bonds be issued to bear interest at six per cent per annum from date, payable to J. H. Milliken & Co., or bearer, said bonds to be lithographed at the expense of J. H. Milliken & Co. in denominations of one thousand dollars each, and to be delivered to the First Rational Bank of Weatherford, Texas, for the credit of J. H. Mibiken & Co., upon the approval of the bond…
