SULLIVAN, Judge:

On May 26, 1994, appellant was tried by a military judge sitting alone as a general court-martial at Camp Henry, Republic of Korea. On mixed pleas, he was found guilty of wrongfully stealing mail (3 specifications), *105in violation of Article 134, Uniform Code of Military Justice, 10 USC § 934. He was then sentenced to a dishonorable discharge, confinement for 18 months, total forfeitures, and reduction to Private E-l.
