PERRY, Judge:

By special court-martial, which consisted of military judge alone, the appellant was tried and convicted of violating Article 134, Uniform Code of Military Justice, 10 U.S.C. § 934, for distributing methamphetamine. His sentence included a bad-conduct discharge, forfeiture of $200 pay per month for 3 months, and confinement at hard la*315bor for 3 months. The convening authority approved the findings, but suspended the punitive discharge with provision for automatic remission.
