Appeal from an order of the Supreme Court (Harlem, J.), entered May 7, 1990 in Otsego County, which granted defendants’ motion for summary judgment dismissing the complaint.

Plaintiff is the wife of Benjamin A. Cizek (hereinafter decedent), who died of prostate cancer on July 30, 1986. As a patient of defendant William Mook, a physician, decedent was seen on several occasions since the early 1960s at the outpatient facilities of defendant Mary Imogene Bassett Hospital (hereinafter the hospital) where Mook was employed.
