In the matter of the petition of Edward Stanly.
In the progress of this suit the Court below, on the twelfth October, 1855, appointed Henry M. ISTaglee as receiver, with authority to bring suits, and employ counsel. On the twenty-ninth October, 1855, the petitioner was employed as counsel by the receiver, and continued to act as such until the tenth May, 1856. The petitioner then filed his petition, praying the appointment of a referee, before whom his account might be presented, for adjustment and allowance. The Court appointed the referee, who proceeded to take testimony and make his report.…
