Appellant Julia Camden’s state trial on charges of aggravated battery, armed violence, and attempted murder ended on June 28, 1984, when Judge A. Hanby Jones of the Circuit Court of Crawford County, Illinois determined that juror bias required his sua sponte declaration of a mistrial.
