The plaintiffs, Dennis and Marilyn Felsted, brought a personal injury action alleging that on April 2, 1986, Dennis Felsted was injured while operating a Connecticut Transit Company bus, which *666was struck by a taxicab being towed by the named defendant, Kimberly Auto Services, Inc. (Kimberly). The jury returned a general verdict in favor of the plaintiffs against Kimberly and its driver, the defendant Erroll Marshall, and in favor of the defendant Terminal Taxi Company (Terminal).
