This case involves a large, granite monument bearing the text of the Ten Commandments on the grounds of a junior high school in the Connellsville Area School District. Freedom from Religion Foundation, Inc. (“FFRF”), Doe 4, by Doe 4’s next of friend and parent, Doe 5, who also sues on Doe 5’s own behalf (“Plaintiffs”), have challenged the existence of the monument on public school grounds under the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment to the United States Constitution.
