OPINION

NOVALYN L. WINFIELD, Bankruptcy Judge.

This matter comes before the court on the motion by the debtor-in-possession, New Valley Corporation (“New Valley” or “Debtor”), for an order (i) declaring that payment of allowed claims in full renders such claims unimpaired, and (ii) that the Debtor has no obligation to pay postpetition interest on unimpaired claims.
