PARKER, Circuit Judge.

This is an appeal by plaintiff in an automobile collision ease in which verdict was directed for defendant. Plaintiff, who at the time of her injury was a- young girl sixteen years of age, was riding with defendant on his motorcycle as his guest. ‘ It was in the nighttime, and defendant was driving the motorcycle down a residential street in the city of Newport News, Va., at a rate of speed estimated by the witnesses of plaintiff to be between 35 and 40 miles per hour, although the limit permitted by the law of Virginia was only 25 miles per hour.
