This case presents the question of whether a statute of limitations which became effective July 6, 1972, bars the plaintiffs action commenced February 24, 1981, to recover for a negligent act that occurred on November 26, 1969.

The defendant is an attorney at law admitted to practice in Nebraska. The petition alleges that on August 16,1969, while employed by the plaintiff, the defendant delivered books and records of the plaintiff to an adverse party.
