The bill was filed to foreclose a second mortgage executed and delivered under the following circumstances: The Columbia *185Investment and Real Estate Company developed a tract of land on the Palisades known as Grantwood, in the county of Bergen. It expended a large sum of money in building streets, erecting houses and constructing the ordinary municipal improvements preparatory to advertising and exploiting the location as a desirable site for homes.
