Defendant, Wayne A. Donoho, was convicted of residential burglary (111. Rev. Stat. 1989, ch. 38, par. 19-3 (now 720 ILCS 5/19-3 (West 1992))) and burglary (111. Rev. Stat. 1989, ch. 38, par. 19 — 1 (now 720 ILCS 5/19 — 1 (West 1992))). The trial court sentenced him on the residential burglary conviction and imposed a seven-year term of imprisonment.
