About 10 o ’clock in the morning of October 24, 1941, plaintiff Edward Sedorchuk, a minor, was riding in a Ford coupe in a westerly direction on Twelve Mile Road approaching the intersection of Main street in the outskirts of Royal Oak, Michigan. The weather conditions *w'ere clear and the pavement was dry. Defendant George W. Weeder was driving his Chevrolet automobile in a southerly direction on Main street and, as he was crossing the Twelve Mile Road, the two cars collided in the northwest quadrant of the intersection.
